IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
-POSTPONEMENT-of Saturday March 14, 2020 CONFERENCE
CONFRONTING HUMAN TRAFFICKING: A COMMUNITY CONVERSATION

After thoughtful consideration, including advice from His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Boston and the New England Philoptochos, as well as the State of Emergency declared by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts due to the Corona Virus, the organizers of this Saturday’s Confronting Human Trafficking Conference scheduled to meet at the St. Gregory the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church in Mansfield, Massachusetts co-sponsored with Saint Catherine’s Vision, has been postponed. In early April, the organizers will determine the re-scheduled date which we anticipate will either be during late Spring or sometime this Fall 2020.

Firstly, we are following these measures in order to implement health precautions regarding the Corona Virus, protecting the attendees and ultimately, the general public. Secondly, and at least just as importantly, we realize that a whole swath of persons interested in attending this important conversation may be regarded by the medical community as being “at a higher risk” and others deemed “highly susceptible” to experiencing medical complications as a result of the virus. It is very likely a higher proportion of persons with these potential physical challenges would not be with us for the Saturdayconference, as compared to participants representing the rest of the population. We desire a diversity of maturity, experience and wisdom to be in the room with us when we meet!  With the above in mind, we do not want to start this important conversation without them present!

We thank our friends and supporters whose collaboration enabled us to create a wonderful day-long conference!  We eagerly look forward to offering this event under more “healthy” circumstances.

In the meantime, we wish family, friends and all well-wishers, a blessed completion of Great Lent and a Joyful Pascha (Easter).
